I enjoy spending a lot of time with my three busy little bees. During the year, there are many activity ideas for kids you and your kids can do together. Let’s start introducing some options.

I don’t think I’ve met a kid that doesn’t like bubbles. Bubbles are such an easy and fun activity to do in the backyard. The great thing about bubbles is they are very inexpensive. You can get bubbles at amazon.

3. Play with Water Balloons

Kids love water balloons. I remember having so much fun as a kid playing with water balloons. These are so cheap and such a fun activity to do with kids. You can get water balloons for a decent price at amazon.

4. Color and Fly a Kite

Flying kites is so much fun. All you need is some space in the backyard and a windy day. The best thing about kites is they are so inexpensive. You can even create your own kite design. You can get kites for a decent price at amazon.

Over the years, I have stumbled upon many free educational websites for kids. My kids love to play on zearn.org. It is a free website for kids to practice math. During school, check with your child’s school. See if they have a clever account. Zearn is usually connected to their clever account. To get my daughter an account I just signed up as a homeschooling mom. She loves to practice her math.

29. Try Abcya.com

All of my kids enjoy playing abcya.com The site has educational games for kids ages pre-k to 6+. There are games for letters, numbers, holidays, strategies, and skills. Try this website out with your kids. They will love playing these educational games!

30. Try PBS Kids.org

Another great website for kids is pbskids.org. This website has a ton of educational games for kids. Some examples are shape games, coloring games, feeling games, reading games, vocabulary games, letter games, math games, Spanish games, and spelling games. As you can see, there are so many different types of games. You should go to pbskids.org and check them out!

31. Try Nick Jr.com

Nickjr.com is a great website to let your kids play. The website has many educational games. Some examples include feeling games, coloring games, holiday games, alphabet games, and Spanish learning games. Check out this site out with your kids.

32. Try Tumble Book Library Online

My local library gives us access to kids tumble book library online. Therefore, the kids are able to have so many books at their fingertips. All you need is a library card and a computer or iPad. Check out your local library and see what they have to offer.

33. Try Learning Games

My local library gives us access to online learning games on their website. Check out your local library for access to options like learning games.

34.Try Noggin.com

Noggin.com is a great website that offers educational resources for your kids based off of characters they enjoy. This is not free. Occasionally they will offer free periods. For instance, in the beginning of the summer they will offer two months free. So, that will last you the whole summer. Right now they offer a 30 free trial. Check out the website at noggin.com

35. Try Khanacademy.org

Khanacademy.org offers free educational resources for kids ages two to six. Therefore, you as a parent just need to make an account for your child.

36. Try Education.com

Education.com is a great free website that offers educational resources for kids. For example, they have worksheets, games, lesson plans, exercises, stories, and more. Check out this site. It is a must see!

37. Try Funbrain.com

Funbrain.com is a great website that offers free educational resources for kids. For instance, the website has educational resources for kids ages pre-k to eight grade. They offer resources for math, reading, and games. Check out this great website for your kids!

Seasamestreet.org is a great educational resource for young kids. For instance, the website includes educational games, videos, and art. Check out this great educational resource!

39. Go to the Local Park

A local park is such a great way to have fun outdoors with your kids. My kids love going to the local park. During the hot months, go in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the hot playground equipment. Check out your local area for a local park.

40. Visit the Local Library

The local library should offer many things for you and your child. For instance, you should be able to check out books and movies. Also, most libraries also offer story readings and a craft to go with the reading. Check out your local library for activities available to you.

41. Visit Your Local Sports Complex

In my area we have a local sports complex. For instance, our complex includes a track, basket ball court, soccer fields, baseball fields, volleyball court, and a pond. Check out your local sports complex or community center to see what you have to choose from for you and your child.

42. Go to the Local Splash Pads

Where I live there are a few local splash pads. The kids love to splash in the pad. Check your local area where your kids can go play in the splash pad.

43. Go to Pottery Painting

Most areas have a local pottery store. Bring your kids and paint some pottery in your area. We have a local store near us and my kids love to go. Check out your area and see if there is a pottery painting store near you!

44. Go to the Zoo

My kids love the zoo. For instance, they love to see the tigers. In addition, you can see so many unique and interesting animals. Check out your local area for a zoo.

45. Go to the Skating Rink

Kids enjoy skating. So, it is a great local activity you can do with the kids. Check out your local area for a skating rink you can take your kids too!

46. Go to the Kids Museum

My kids love our local kids museum. It is only $7 to get into our kids museum. They have so many neat and educational activities to do. For instance, our museum has a kids grocery store. It is so fun to see the kids shop in the grocery store. In addition, the museum also has a large bubble where you can stand inside it. I thought that was pretty cool and the kids did too! Check out your local area for a kids museum. The admission is usually inexpensive.

47. Go to the Local Basketball Court

Check out your local park or gym. A basketball court can be a fun place for kids. My kids love playing with a basketball and trying to make a goal.

48. Go to the Local Tennis Court

Kids love playing sports. Check out your local gym, park, or community center for a local tennis court. This is such a fun way to burn off some energy!

49. Go to the Local Volleyball court

We have a sports complex close and they have a volleyball court people can use as they please. Check out your local area for a volleyball court you can try out with your kids.

50. Go to the Local Fair

The fair can be such a fun activity. We love the cotton candy, funnel cakes, and rides. I remember going to the fair as a kid and trying to win a fish. We won so many fish. I lost count how many fish we won at the fair. Check out your local area for upcoming dates for a local fair.

51. Go to the Theater

During the summer, one of my kid’s favorite activities is going to the movie theater. We go every week to the kids $4 movie. This $4 entrance fee includes the movie, popcorn, and a drink.
